Michael Sato
Michael Sato is a highly experienced mortgage and real estate professional serving Metro Vancouver, with a career spanning over two decades in financial services. A graduate of BCIT's Financial Management program (2000), Michael began his career in consumer lending before moving into the role of Account Executive in 2003, where he played a key part in establishing the Vancouver market for a prominent U.S. subprime lender.
Drawing on this foundation, Michael transitioned into mortgage brokering, dedicating himself to helping clients structure mortgages that work in their long-term financial interest. In 2012, he expanded his expertise further by becoming a licensed Realtor, allowing him to offer truly end-to-end support across both financing and property transactions.
Born and raised in Vancouver, Michael brings deep local market knowledge to every client relationship, having lived and worked throughout the Lower Mainland. Today, as part of The Align Group at eXp Realty, he provides comprehensive guidance for buying, selling, and investing in real estate — drawing on his unique background in consumer finance, mortgage lending, and mortgage brokering to help clients understand how lending institutions evaluate transactions and what factors can affect financing approval.
